That is how almost every family in this program got here.

A good coach can change your season. A great coach can change your life.

MJB aims to provide mentorship development for what’s most important now and after your stat line, life after the game.

The Mentorship Program is what it sounds like. One-on-one. Trust-building. Educationally intense. Data driven. Slow-motion tech. Communicative. Experience-based. There’s a reason there’s a long waiting list. Find out why below.

“They don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”

— Theodore Roosevelt
How to join ↓

Rising 9th graders and up. Baseball or softball. This is for committed players aiming at a higher level, and parents looking for advanced mentorship. Not a one-time tune-up. Not a budget option.

A player who
  • Has lofty goals and wants to play at the next level.
  • Is hungry for information, not just reps.
  • Can do the mental work alongside the physical.
  • Is communicative, coachable, and ok with constructive criticism.
A parent who
  • Is investing in mentorship, not just a tune-up.
  • Wants advanced training, not reps or fundamentals.
  • Is ok paying more for higher value.

This isn’t the budget route. It’s the one MJB offering that goes deeper than a one-time tune-up.

This isn’t the right fit if:

  • You’re budget-sensitive for this tier of training.
  • Your family schedule is too hectic to hold a consistent weekly slot.
  • You’re still figuring out how serious your player is about the game.
  • You want lessons at your convenience, not on a weekly cadence.
  • You’re here for a lesson pack, not a mentorship.
  • You want the lesson, not the training environment around it.

This program isn’t a lesson pack. It’s a ticket into a training environment built around growth and maturity.

If the list above is you, the mentorship isn’t the right call. The rest of MJB is below.

Four things, one membership.

Mindset

Approach, strategy, game-planning.

The mental side of hitting, built into every session. Pitch selection, plate approach, situational reads. Not tacked on. Baked in.

Data

Every swing, tracked.

Rapsodo 3.0, slow-motion video, and metrics captured on every swing your player takes. Not just the baseline and final review. Every session, every rep.

Access

The whole facility. Not just a cage.

Swing trainers, machines, turf, open training space, and the full tech suite. Access reserved for members, not available on a per-lesson basis.

Environment

Train next to pros. Play anywhere.

Not a travel-team system where you only see players and coaches from one program. Your player trains alongside college and pro athletes from any affiliation, all pointed at the same thing: get better. Train here. Play wherever you want.

Three six-session blocks, November through March. Take one block or all three. Enrollment for a block closes the Friday before it starts, and every open time is shown on the board below — when it sells, it disappears. Once you accept an invite, your weekly time is held for you.

Each block is six sessions across seven weeks. The seventh week is the buffer — it lands on a holiday whenever the calendar cooperates. Pay block by block, priced by time of day (see 09). Spring and summer aren’t part of this program.

Same day, same time, every week. Thirty minutes, one-on-one, booked once and held for the block — and for the season if you take all three.

The format is consistent. The pace isn’t. We coach on a crawl, walk, jog, sprint cadence and format, meeting your player where they are based on how they’re performing, how they’re retaining, and how they communicate. We only push when they show they want and can be pushed.

Inside each 30 minutes
  • Warmup, catch-up, planning, and analysis.
  • Tee work. Drills and swing trainers, when needed.
  • Moving-ball timing and mechanics. Machine work, almost always.
  • Pickup, feedback, and debrief. Questions and focus for the week between.

Hitting is the hardest thing in any sport. It takes time. It takes education. Most of all, it takes a special kind of player to ask for more.

No gray area. Published in advance.

Scenario What happens
Any missed session, told ahead or notOne make-up per block, in the buffer week (week 7). A second miss forfeits.
Miss 2+ sessions in a blockWeek 7 is still the one make-up. The rest forfeit — but come back as MJB credit or cage time if you told me ahead.
Weather closure or coach absenceBlock buffer covers it.
No-session weeksThanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve.

The math. Each block’s price covers six sessions. Week 7 is the buffer, built in because we’re all human. Things come up sometimes.

Miss zero sessions? Week 7 becomes your block debrief by default. Want to turn it into a full coaching session? Prorated, charged to the card on file.

Facility access stays open through forfeited weeks. The session’s what’s lost, not the membership.

Four steps. Roughly a week or two from form to yes-or-no. Demand outpaces supply, so no guarantees even with a strong fit.

1

Fill the form.

Form at the bottom of this page. Parent name, player name, sport, referral source, and a few sentences about where your player is.

2

We reach out.

We learn about your player. You learn more about the program.

3

A closer look, if we both need one.

Sometimes applicants come in for a paid short session to check data, schedule, and fit. Not every applicant does this step.

4

Invite, or not.

It comes together when a membership slot is open, we think you fit, you think we fit, and we both agree on a weekly time. At that point, we reserve the right to invite you into the block you want. Accept the invite and the slot is yours — it stops being shown to other families. The invoice for the block you selected is payable before the first session.

5

Heads up.

Demand far outpaces supply. This program runs at 100% occupancy all season. New openings only appear when current athletes graduate and move on. The board in 10 shows exactly what is open right now.

One price, and it is public. What we talk about is fit and which weekly time.

Every time on every night costs the same, so pick the one your week can actually keep. Students with early release or flex days have the most choice. Tandem is per hitter for the block.

Once you accept the invite, that weekly time is yours and we stop shopping it to other families.

Every private 30-minute time on Cory’s three nights. This is the same board as the hitting page, so it is always current. Tap an open time and it goes into your request.

OpenTakenHitter’s Lab hour

The ones families actually ask, answered honestly. Tap a question to open it.

Players with track records. Typically: 10+ hours a week on their craft, a workout regimen, a nutrition plan, above-peer stats, and competition on higher-level circuits. Goals beyond “make varsity.” The fundamentals are already built. This program is for the next level up.

A lesson pack will get you 90% of what you’re looking for. This program was built for the last 10%, not the first 90%. Our clients spoke. We listened.

Sorry, not yet. We have service offerings galore for our next-gen players. This program isn’t one of them. Check what we do offer for them below.

Week 7, the buffer week, is your one make-up per block. Whether you cancel 24+ hours out or miss last-minute, the last week in each block is reserved as the make-up week for any one session missed.

No. Baseball and softball members train on the same schedule. Drill work and guidance are sport-specific.

Yes, but at a slightly higher cost per block. We do offer single-block purchases. Fair warning: if you buy only Block 1 and decide to purchase Block 2 a little too late, there will be demand for your slot and it will show as an opening to the public. It gets competitive to buy one block at a time.

The board in section 10 shows every open time, live. Historically the program runs at 100% occupancy and new openings appear in the Fall when athletes move on. Plan accordingly in the early summer.

Block by block, or the whole season at once — your call. Either way the invoice for a block is payable before that block’s first session. Taking the full season up front locks your weekly slot from October through March, which is the only way to guarantee the same time all year.

Spots are scarce. Not every strong fit gets in. Unfortunately, this is not a perfect process. If we can't/don't accommodate you here, we’ll point you to the right MJB option below.

14-day money-back guarantee from the start of your first session. If it is not right, tell me inside two weeks and you get your money back. After day 14 you can still leave, but the current block is not refunded — the slot was held for you and the room was built around it. Please do not buy the whole season if you are unsure of fit.

Next step

Request access.

Fill out the form. We’ll reach out when we can. Fall is open enrollment. Spring and summer are out of scope for this program.

Demand outpaces supply. This program runs at 100% occupancy. Submitting the form doesn’t guarantee an invite, even with a strong fit.
